Joyful Holiday

For those who celebrate, wishing you a FANTASTIC and meaningful holiday.  Hope your day is filled with love and lots of time with family and friends.

May your day and your year be filled with Joy.

A friend of mine challenged me to create a card using only two layers.  It was hard!  I sure love my layers.  I’m happy with how the card turned out.  But in the future, I think I’ll keep using more than two layers 🙂

Supplies Used:

Stamp:  Joyful Season (139770)
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Tip Top Taupe, Early Espresso, Pool Party
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Real Red Pompom Trim (139617), Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (133520)

Glitter on Wood!

Oh my I did something fun when creating this card.  Glitter.  On Wood!!  I LOVE it.  In person, the glittered snowflake looks even more spectacular.  The word “Joyful” is embossed in gold, too, so there is some serious sparkle going on.

Below is a close up of the glittered snowflake.  I first put two-way glue on the snowflake and then dipped it in glitter. I attached it to the card using tombow glue.

The card design is actually pretty easy.  If you need to make a whole bunch of cards, the design could be duplicated very quickly.  Below are the supplies used:

Stamp:  Joyful Season (139770)
Ink: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy
Paper: Season of Cheer DSP, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Other: Versmark, Gold Glitter, Gold Cord, Gold Embossing Powder, Wooden Snowflake, Circle Framelits

Happy Creating,

Stampin’ up a Storm

What have you been up to this weekend?  I have been stampin’ like a crazy gal.  It has put a great big smile on my face – which I needed, because my bookclub book was so sad this month.  Ugh!!  But stamping always cheers me up.

For my project today, I am sharing a holiday card that I made for my sweet friend, Kimberly.

I had so much fun making it — not only because it was a break from my downer book, but because I used a card sketch!  The sketch is PCCCS174 (click here for details on the Paper Craft Crew).  Here was what the sketch looks like:

Tip: I flipped the sketch upside down.  Feel free to change up sketches to make them work for YOUR card.  Also, to give the bird color depth, I stamped him first in Crumb Cake and then Soft Suede.

Supplies Used:

Stamp:  Joyful Season (139770)
Ink: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobber
Paper: Season of Cheer DSP, Pool Party, Whisper White

Have a fantastic week,

Project Life Card

This next card was a true hodge-podge!  I started by cutting the green sentiment out and adhering it over a large white space on the red card.  You would never guess, would you?  The background red is also Project Life.  I cut it into two pieces 1 inch thick and hid the seam with the front card.  I then put a little ribbon on it, glued everything together, added some gold stars, and quick as a wink, it was done!

Here is the Project Life kit I used:

Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip

Project Life Cards – Easy Creating!

Dear Friends,

This whole week I’m going to be featuring holiday cards I made QUICKLY using the Hello December 2015 Project Life Card Collection.

This project came about because a dear friend sent me this kit as a gift.  Instead of making an album with it, I had the idea to make it into holiday cards.  It always seems that no matter how many holiday cards I make, I never have enough.  The thought of making a whole bunch QUICKLY and easily was appealing, so I gave it a try.

I love the results!  I never had to even pick up a stamp and I had gorgeous, professional looking cards with only a little modification.

I love the clean and simple look of the card.  The only thing I added was some sparkle and a gold star at the top. I matted the project and made it pop by using the deep red colored card base.

Supplies Used:
Kit: Hello December 2015 Project Life Card CollectionAccessories: Gold Glitz Dazzling Details (133755), Gold Glimmer Paper (133719), Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (133787)
Paper: Tip Top Taupe, Cherry Cobbler

Best wishes for a terrific week,

Holiday Gift Bag Holder – with Video

I am so excited to share my latest project with you.  I designed a gift card holder that’s easy to make — and flat!  It can even be used as an ornament.  I made it flat so you can fit it in a card if you want to mail it (though you may need to make your banners a little shorter.  I get carried away :))

Below is a video with instructions on how to put it together.  Click HERE for a .pdf sheet showing the dimensions and supplies used.

Hope you enjoy!

Fall Special!!

Dear Friends,

Many of you who read this blog live far away 😦  I decided to have a special for EVERYONE, but one that would especially be geared towards my non-local friends.

My fall special is a stamp kit!  If you place an order of $35 or more (before tax and shipping), you will receive a kit to make BOTH cards shown below.  If you place a $70 order, you will receive two copies of each kit, etc.  I also made a video so you can watch and learn how to assemble the cards.

Card #1

Card #2:

My goal in designing the cards was to make a kit that would require you to have as few supplies as possible since this is a crafting gift for you 🙂  Please see the Specials – Fall 2014 tab above for the details on this special.  I hope you enjoy it and please let me know if you have any questions.
